As many people will know, the Tower of London is remembering the First World War with a unique art installation called Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red. Gradually being installed from the beginning of August until the 11th November, there will be 888,246 ceramic poppies with one representing each of the lives that were lost during the war. This is an absolutely stunning spectacle that is really worth seeing!
The installation is absolutely amazing but does get very busy indeed. Alex visited it recently on a very wet and rainy day – not the best for viewing an outdoor exhibition, but brilliant for avoiding those crowds!! A visit to this exhibition really is highly recommended, although there isn’t too much time left now. If you can get there, it is really worth going!
