Godstone Gardeners’ Club is sponsoring a donkey in the Donkey Derby at the Godstone Village Fete this year. The problem is … we need to come up with a name! At our July meeting we will hand out some paper so that members can submit a suggestion, but we only have until the 10th July to name our donkey so we need to get our thinking caps on. Here’s a couple of suggestions that we’ve had so far:
- Scented Rose out of Manure by Garden Shed
- Climbing Clematis out of Compost by Shrinking Violet
- Brussels out of Boxes by Poirot the Leek
We’re quite sure that someone out there has a better suggestion, (clean ones only will be published!). If you have a suggestion, please post it here!
