Today we have visited Holehird Gardens in Cumbria. These are stunning gardens which are maintained by the Lakeland Horticultural Society. The society rents the gardens from the council, whilst the house is rented to a Leonard Cheshire home. Entry is free but they appreciate a donation. They have 80 volunteers from the society who work in the garden which, at a guess must be 15 acres, and I only found 1 weed!
