A few weeks ago we visited the Chauffeurs Flat gardens at Tandridge Court.This garden is described as quirky and that’s what it is. I have never visited a garden like it! We were lucky enough to be shown round by the owner and creator, a truly lovely and talented lady. She and her husband have created something very different in gardens.The garden is open again week commencing 23rd June I do recommend you put this in your diary and don’t forget to have one of their scrumptious teas.
I know this garden well – don’t think you are going for an easy stroll – you aren’t! Stout shoes, preferably with spikes, and a walking stick, or two, are recommended.
Lovely southerly views and interesting statutory. I always want them to convert their greenhouse into a proper abode so I can go and live there. Each year they say they are not going to open again but … I know they have raised many thousands for charity.
Thanks to Alex for posting photos of the poppies at the Tower of London. I have been twice. The first visit was when it was very hot and sunny and there were people, people, people and the second occasion when it was very windy and wet so not quite so many people. In both cases my photos were rubbish so thank goodness one of us can take a decent photo. This installation comes to and end on 11th November so if you haven’t paid a visit GO NOW.
