St Agatha’s, Hurst Green

STAGING IS IN THE MORNING AND THE SHOW WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR VIEWING FROM 2-4 PM.

Hurst Green Gardening Club versus Godstone Gardening Club on Saturday 9th April 2022 at St Agatha’s Hall, Hurst Green. The Hall will be open from 8.30 am to 10.30 am for staging.

Entry forms are not necessary for this show. Place a label under vase / container / pot, upside down, marked with either GODSTONE or HURST GREEN, ideally marked with the variety if known.

All exhibits must have been grown by the exhibitor (except for class 25) and Pot Plants must have been in the care of the exhibitor for a minimum of four weeks. Exhibitors must use the vases supplied unless otherwise stated.

ONLY ONE ENTRY PER CLASS PER PERSON – ALL PLANTS MUST BE OWNED BY THE EXHIBITOR AT LEAST 6 WEEKS BEFORE THE SHOW

Section A – DAFFODILS
1 1 Vase 3 blooms Daffodils, self-colour, yellow, 1 variety, 1 flower to a stem
2 1 Vase 3 blooms Daffodils, bi-colour, 1 variety, 1 flower to a stem
3 1 Vase 3 blooms Daffodils, white, 1 variety, 1 flower to a stem
4 1 Vase 3 blooms Double or Split Corona Daffodils, 1 variety, 1 flower to a stem
5 1 Vase 3 stems Daffodils, 1 variety, multi-headed
6 1 Vase 3 stems Miniature Daffodil, one, or more than one, bloom per stem, displayed in a shot glass or small bikini vase (both provided)
7 1 Vase 1 stem Daffodil, one or more than one bloom per stem
8 1 Vase 6 stems Daffodils, any colour, may be mixed
9 1 Container of growing Daffodils, maximum internal size 26cm
10 1 Vase 3 stems, any other Daffodil e.g. Pheasant Eye
 
Section B – TULIPS/OTHER BULBS, CORMS, TUBERS
11 1 Vase 3 blooms Tulips, single, one variety
12 1 Vase 3 blooms Tulips, double, one variety
13 1 Vase 6 blooms Tulips, may be mixed
14 1 Container of growing Tulips, maximum internal size 26cm
15 1 Vase, 3 blooms, any other spring bulb, corm or tuber, 1 variety
 
SECTION C – OTHER SPRING FLOWERING PLANTS
16 1 Vase of Mixed Spring Flowers and/or Shrubs
17 1 Vase 3 stems Flowering Shrub, 1 variety
18 1 Vase 6 stems Polyanthus, (multi-headed stem)
19 A Wine Glass containing native Primroses (Primula Vulgaris), tied as a posy with leaves surrounding
20 5 blooms of Pansies or Violas, (floating on water in your favourite shallow container)
21 Single bloom of Camelia, in a shot glass or small bikini vase (both provided)
 
SECTION D – INDOOR PLANTS
22 1 Flowering Pot Plant, pot up to 18cm internal diameter
23 1 Flowering Orchid in a pot
24 1 Flowering Pot Plant, pot over 18cm internal diameter
25 A flower arrangement on the subject of ‘JUBLIEE’, flowers may be shop bought, accessories allowed, no height restriction, exhibit must be no greater than 45cm in width or depth
26 PHOTOGRAPH on the subject of “A MEDLEY OF SPRING FLOWERS”, maximum 7” x 5” (18cm x 13 cm) un-mounted size, (nb: photograph should not have been exhibited at a previous Hurst Green show and must have been taken by the exhibitor)
